About Us
Land & Family is a proudly family-owned Indigenous organization rooted in the belief that the land is our home. Based in British Columbia, our work and identity are tied to Secwepemcúĺecw, the traditional territory of the Shuswap people. This vast homeland stretches across approximately 145,000 square kilometres, from the Chilcotin Plateau to the Columbia Valley, through mountains, rivers, and forests that continue to sustain both people and wildlife.
Our name reflects our philosophy: land means home, and family is the heart of community. Every piece we create is inspired by this connection. Designed for all outdoor activities—whether hunting, fishing, yachting, or simply being on the land—our clothing brings luxury, functionality, and cultural meaning together.
Our Identity & Symbols
The white, yellow, red, and black in our story represent the four sacred directions found in Indigenous teachings. The angled line in our emblem represents the Rocky Mountains, symbolizing resilience and a sense of home. The magpie represents adaptability and awareness, while the sockeye salmon honours the salmon run of the South Thompson River—a vital cycle of life for our people, bears, and the ecosystem.
Together, the salmon and magpie move in a circle, symbolizing unity, gathering, and inclusion—values we carry forward in promoting wellness and mental health.
Our motto, meaning “Land and Family” in Secwepemctsin, reminds us that land is more than geography—it is home, story, and legacy.
Our Promise
At Land & Family, we take pride in creating luxury outdoor clothing of the highest quality. Each item is crafted with care, beautifully wrapped, and designed to carry the spirit of the land. Like the salmon run, which symbolizes resilience, renewal, and the return home, our brand is dedicated to sustaining connections—with land, with family, and with tradition.
